more than 1,000 job-seekers showed up at a livermore job fair today. 160 retailers, part of the new paragon outlets, are looking to fill 2,000 jobs! the outlet is still under construction. a second jobs fair will be held for the mall in october. the outlet is expected to open in november just in time for the holiday season. labor statistics show that the bay area is doing much better than the rest of the state when it comes to the unemployment numbers. california's rate is at 10.7%. marin has the lowest unemployment rate in the state at 6.7%. san mateo is second lowest, 7%. san francisco is fourth lowest, and santa clara,

people all around the country marked the 11th anniversary of 911 today. here is a live picture from new york city where two beams of spotlights are shining into the sky representing where the twin towers once stood.

a traffic stop is being called a hero even after his death. kenyon youngstrom donated his orbegans to california residents, three from the -- organs to california resident, three from the bay area. the third woman received his liver, and a southern california man received his heart. youngstrom's funeral will be held at the mission church in vaccaville on thursday. cases of west nile have jumped 25% in the last week, including one human case in the bay area. most people who contract the virus never know they have t. only 20% ever come down with the flu-like symptoms. most people get better on their own. but symptoms can become severe, leading to paralysis or even death. fortunately the bay area woman is recovering.

but to help prevent further infections, county vector control officials will spray for mosquitos on thursday evening. fog pushing into the area this evening. looks like northbound golden gate bridge is down to one lane currently. fog-tracker for tomorrow, we'll start to see it clear for the valleys between 7:00 and 9:00 tomorrow morning, and in the afternoon, look for lots of sunshine and temperatures getting up into the 70s here in the south bay. 80 degrees for san jose. 70s fremont, south san jose, up into the low 80s. east bay inland spots, close to where we were today. upper 80s, close to 90.
